We are seeking a recent PhD graduate for a short-term post-doc position here at Bournemouth University.

The project is the AHRC-funded “COJO for COVID Recovery”: an 18-month project investigating how constructive journalism (COJO) can support Covid-19 pandemic recovery in local and regional areas of the UK. This opportunity has become available as our current post-doc has found a full-time lecturing role elsewhere and is leaving at the end of this month.

As there are only about 5 months until the end of the project, we are looking for someone who can start ASAP through a PTHP contract. This contract would be for about 120 -130 hours per month till 22nd June, 2022. The pay is at £17.92 per hour (including a holiday element). This is commensurate with the normal post-doc salary band at Grade 6, but just paid through PTHP instead.

The main duties would be in the analysis and dissemination of the project’s findings and the appointee will have the opportunities to co-author papers with other members of the team. Some expertise in quantitative research is a plus, but not required. The candidate would need to have the right to work in the UK.

If you are interested, please just send a brief covering email with your full CV to the Principal Investigator, Professor An Nguyen (anguyen@bournemouth.ac.uk), CCing Prof Dan Jackson (jacksond@bournemouth.ac.uk), as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to email Prof Nguyen and Prof Jackson.

The position is open until filled.
